…Squid Shirts…

So for our first foray into the world of t-shirt production… we produced a short run of a ‘constipated/inking’ squid… printed in black on a couple different color shirts.

We have a few left in varying colors and sizes. They are $15 if you’re interested. Shoot us an email or leave a comment and we’ll let you know what’s left.

We are taking suggestions for a new shirt for our 2010 Convention Bonanza. Leave us some feedback… and as always, keep checking back for updates. Thanks.

CTCon/Hartford Observations (Day 3)

- Said something wholly inappropriate in the artist alley, that everybody heard.
- Cara started working on our 3Panel Strip. We are both very horrible people..
- FUCK CTCon and their fucking lack of information to the artists about CTs fucking new tax laws. Some assmuncher’s head is gonna roll.

Random:
- Found my room key. (I’m retarded)
- Cara has fans. Fuck yea!

CTCon/Hartford Observations (Day 2)

- Amendment: All Cosplayers have a serious problem.

Hartford:
- more bars than actual amount of people to go in them.

Random:
- Only when you walk into our hotel room, and for a split second, it smells something fierce. It doesn’t smell when you walk out of the room in the same place.
- Lost my friggin room keycard. Then dealing with the…
- Crazy front desk guy at the hotel…

CTCon/Hartford Observations (Day 1)

Hartford:
- More parking available than actual stuff to do.
- Only things here are Convention Centers, banks, and bars.
- Police stopping every car for drunk drivers on a Thursday night at 7PM outside our hotel window… Actually quite amusing.
- Hotel website photos are deceiving.
- We have a feeling there was a rape/murder of someone with B.O. In our room.
- Speeding moped gangs…

CTCon:
- You have a problem if you Cosplay at the Pre-Reg, in my honest opinion.
- Apparently, bacon is a vegetable.

Random:
- Cara packed way too much shit.
- Fire likes to chase people down stairs.
- At restaurant, had “garlic bread” that was just a loaf of bread stuffed with string cheese and garlic.

So for our first Convention and not knowing what to expect… I’d say it went rather well… Considering we didn’t have any content on the site yet. Though this was always meant to be a learning experience, and it certainly was. We found out Pre-registration can suck a big fat one. We found out we needed a full table for all of our shit. And we found out, that apparently, we lost the game.

Drumming up interest for the comic proved to be a change for two anti-social artists. But we did manage to give away some flyers, talk to some good folks, hype up the comic… bought a really kickass stuffed squid… and Cara got a lot of interest in her commission work (check out Flickr or her Deviant Art page to take a look).

We certainly learned a lot. Made plans for Connecticon at the end of July. And we PROMISE that there will be some of the comic up before then.

Oh and by the way… hit us up, leave a comment, send an email, do whatever… and we’ll get back to you, and maybe send ya some free shit. We appreciate your interest in what we’re trying to do here, so free shit in return is our pleasure!

Its the first day of Anime Boston 2009 and with this comes the pre-launch of NINJAS! … PIRATES! … MAYHEM! … and Scurvey!
